We have covered this subject more thoroughly in an earlier article (see The Regathering of Israel). We contend that this prediction regarding the nation of Israel has been fulfilled in a remarkable and unique way. Additionally, though, consider how strange it is that the Bible predicts that human history will end focused around the nation of Israel, as the Jews would be hemmed in on all sides from enemy nations (Ezek. 37-39; Zech. 14; Joel 3:9ff; Isa. 11:1-10). Today, we see Israel as center stage in world events—surrounded by enemy nations—just as the Bible predicted thousands of years ago.
